Arctic Bath
Arctic Bath is a floating hotel and spa on the calm waters of the Lule River in Swedish Lapland – inspired by the region’s timber-floating heritage and designed to exist directly on the river.
The hotel is built around this simple idea of living with the water. Six of the rooms float on the river, while six are placed on land facing the iconic circular spa building. Together, they form an intimate setting where architecture, nature, and seasons are constantly present.
At the centre of the experience is the SPA, anchored by a year-round circular cold bath that opens directly to the river. Alongside it, traditional saunas invite guests into authentic Nordic heat-and-cold rituals shaped by Arctic conditions and culture. This is the core of the stay – simple, physical, and closely tied to nature.
Beyond the spa, guests can explore the Arctic landscape through curated local experiences such as Sámi cultural encounters, dogsledding, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and walks through untouched forests. Each season brings a different character – from the northern lights and deep winter silence to the midnight sun and endless summer light.
